An explosion in the Latvian Legislative building killed 9 and injured 27 members of the lower house. In Italy the Italian Foreign Minister died on Mysterious circumstances. The Czar died in a plane crash.

In Germany the security services went on High Alert. The security detail assigned to the Kaiser, Crown Prince, Chancellor, Defense Minister, Foreign Minister, Attorney General and the Intelligence hied was increased. The Germans becan to search the data to see if any pattern emerged. High altitute Recon Missions over Russia were authorized

Martial Law was declared in Russia>The Military seized control of all means of Communication and the Prime Minister was arrested. Russia expelled 12 German Diplomats and broke diplomatic relations with Romania and Latvia.The Russian Royal Family was put under tight security.

The German Security forces combined with the police carried out a series of targeted raids which resulted in the capture of terrorist and enemy agents. several people were killed resisting arrest and firing on the security forces. Captured were arms, explosives and intelligence documents. A member of Parliament was arrested by Abwehr and Police agents on charges of being a Russian Agent.

The Chancellor asked the Kaiser to approve the call up of reservist. The Minister of Defense under instructions from the Chancellor ordered the Deployment of the First Parachute Brigade to Latvia with the 6thth Panzer Division moved to East Prussia. Poland also placed its forces on Alert and communication between Germany and Poland was now constant. Russian forces crossed into the Ukraine. The German Foreign Ministry Informed Britain and the US of the Russian Move

The Chancellor called the National Security Cabinet into Emergency session. The Kaiser and the Crown Prince also arrived. The Kaiser approved the call up of the ready reservist. The Minister of Defense ordered the Army to move forces toward the Ukraine. The Alliance HQ contacted the Czechoslovakian Ministry of Defense and informed them of the Russian Invasion of the Ukraine and asked permission to move through their country to the Ukraine. Poland informed Germany that it was mobilizing its reserves. The German Government was closing its embassy in Russia

The German Government informed the Russian Government to halt its invasion of the Ukraine as this was a violation of agreements between Russia and Germany, Romania, Poland Austria, Czechoslovakia and Hungary . A Czech Tank division with a Motorized Infantry Division entered the Ukraine and was Joined by the 8th Panzer Division and the 28th Reserve Panzer Grenadier Brigade.

The Central European Treaty Organization began to supply the Ukraine Army Military supplies to assist it in combating the Russian Invasion. Germany was calling up additional reservist to expand the German military.

The German Crown Prince flew with a team of German Military experts to Great Britain seeking British assistance in meeting the need for additional antitank and antiaircraft weapons for the German military as there was a shortage of equipment. The British government agreed to supply some of the weapons the Germans were seeking and it would also supply some Tornado parts while Germany ramped up production.

Two Companies of Jagdpanzers arrived in Latvia to reinforce the Paratrooper Brigade. They were equipped with the 90mm gun that was used to arm the American M-48A2 and greatly strengthen the German Airborne forces. The other two companies were in Lithuania along with a German Infantry Battalion which had 2 Lithuanian Reservist Battalions attached and the (th Lithuanian Mechanized Brigade was within supporting distance. The Brigade had 2 Mechanized Infantry Battalion an artillery Battalion and 2 companies of ex German RUC251 tanks uggunned with a 105mm gun.

The Polish Ninth Army was prepared to enter Liuthania and reinforce the German-Lithuanian forces defending the country Three German divisions were assembling in East Prussia and would move to join the allies defend Liuthania.

Germany had ordered the tank manufacture to increase production of the Leopard I tank.Austria had ordered 360 of the tanks and the Czechs were also buying them.. German production was currently at 60 a month but was to increase to 130

German and Czech forces were now in the Western Ukraine. German Jet Fighters had intercepted Russian Combat aircraft near Kiev. German Missile forces struck at Russian targets in the Eastern Ukraine.The alliance had warned Russia to cease its invasion of the Ukraine or it would take further action.

Three of the German Navy's most modern Submarines were in the Black Sea. They had been ordered to sink any Russian Ships that attempted to Land troops in the Crimea or who fired missiles at targets in the Ukraine. The result was two of the German Submarines sank 2 LST,1 Frigate, 1 Cruiser and 1 submarine as well as a transport.

Germany had been trying to limit the spread of the war. It had only hit Russian forces that had invaded the Ukraine or were carrying out offensive attacks in the Black Sea against the Ukraine. The Russian Navy was attempting to hunt down the German submarines.
An additional German Parachute Brigade was airlifted into Latvia. German Missile units had now deployed into Lithuania and the Ukraine.

The Alliance had increased their forces in the Ukraine with the Germans having 4 Divisions,the Czechs 2,Austrians 1 Division plus a Brigade. Hungary had been mobilizing forces and it was prepared to move a Corp of 3 Divisions. The allied forces prepared to move east to discouraging the Russians from continuing the invasion

The Russians that had seized control of Russia had not expected the German Government to react so swiftly. The Germans and the allies had reacted swiftly. The sinking of Russian ships in the Black Sea and missile strikes on Russian forces that had invaded the Ukraine had caused them to rethink their actions. They had thought that the Social Democrats would create an uproar but the Kaiser had backed the Chancellor's actions and had even addressed the nation. The Crown Prince had gone to Britain to seek assistance from them. The German Ambassador to the US had spoken to the American President.

The Czech fore remain behind to guard the line of communications while the German-Austrian and Hungarian forces moved forward to protect the Ukrainian Capital and shore up the Ukrainian Army. The German Commander of the Battleground Ukraine was requesting at leat another 6 German Divisions. The German Austrian and Czech Air Forces had contested the Russian attempt to control the skies

The Ukrainian Army had suffered loses of equipment to the Russians but they had repulsed several thrust toward Kiev The Hungarian Corp had engaged the Russians destroying at least 36 Russian tanks. The Hungarian Leopard IA4s were superior to the Russian T-55 and even the T-62 were having a hard time dealing with the German designed tanks. The Ukrainians were equipped with Czech designed tanks which had a Panther Body but a Czech turret that resembled that that was on the T-55 but it had a Czech 100mm gun.

The Kaiser used his power to order that the German Defense Industry and the government move to insure that the German Military receive the equipment that it needs.
